Mike Curkov has anchored the CBS 58 Morning News since 2016. Wake up with him and the morning team from 4:30-7:00 a.m. on CBS 58 and 7:00-8:00 a.m. on WMLW The M.

Mike is also known as "Iron Mike Curkov." Pro-wrestling (no joke!) with Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, SSW Entertainment and One Fall Entertainment with matches in Waukesha, Theinsville, Ashippun, Kenosha, Sheboygan Falls, Cedarburg, and Grafton. Iron Mike even won the GLCW tag team championship in 2022 with WWE legend Al Snow.

Since joining CBS 58, Mike has covered the Bucks Championship Parade, the Super Bowl, witnessed a total solar eclipse on the line of totality, flown in a fighter jet, kissed a sea lion, ridden the Giant Slide at the Wisconsin State Fair 58 times in a row, jumped the mail boat in Lake Geneva, and swam in Lake Michigan in February. He's also won eight Wisconsin Broadcasters Association awards and been nominated for five regional Emmys, including a 2023 Emmy win for a story about why we seem to be using subtitles more often.

Mike works with local non-profits raising money and volunteering with the MACC Fund, Wisconsin Humane Society, Operation Finally Home, Pink Heals Sheboygan County, Grafton Little League, and more.

Before news, Mike was a sports guy, covering sports in Vermont, Wichita, KS, and Rockford, IL.

He lives in Ozaukee County with his wife, Allison, two sons, and beagle, Fern.
