Overnight parking banned on Brady Street under summer safety pilot
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Milwaukee officials have announced changes to the city's summer safety pilot program along Brady Street, including overnight parking restrictions aimed at curbing disruptive behavior.
Beginning immediately, parking will be prohibited on Brady Street between Humboldt Boulevard and Farwell Avenue from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for the duration of the pilot.
The pilot program was launched in response to ongoing complaints of reckless driving, underage drinking, loud music and other disruptive behavior in the popular entertainment district.
The initiative is scheduled to run for six weeks. After the pilot concludes, city officials plan to hold a town hall meeting to gather community feedback and evaluate the program's effectiveness.
