MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Fire Department says they have not determined a cause for the chemical smell. Firefighters got a reading of low-level flammability when they arrived but it was vented out.
The Fire Department says whatever the chemical was it is nontoxic and non-hazardous.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department Hazmat team was called to the area near S. 6th St. and W. College Ave. for a chemical smell at a transportation supplier.
The original call came in just before 10 a.m.
The building was evacuated and 12 people were evaluated at the scene, but none were taken to the hospital.
Hazmat crews were testing and monitoring the situation. There's no word on what caused the situation at this time.
