MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Skiers spent part of Christmas Eve on the slope.
CBS 58 stopped at Sunburst Winter Sports Park in Kewaskum, where there was plenty of snow.
If it looks like some of the skiers were in costume, they were. They call this the "Santa Slalom". Sunburst offered free lift tickets or free tubing passes to anyone who dressed up in a Christmas costume and donated food for a local pantry.
It's something they started last year, not knowing whether anyone would play along.
"It was a little bit different," said Lisa Raebel of Sunburst. "We didn't really know how well it was going to do. And people came out in droves, dressed up and gave to the community, gave money, gave food and all kinds of great things. So it's been a great event for us here at Sunburst."
The Grinch showed up to join the holiday fun, and Sunburst passed out free cookies and hot chocolate to the skiers.
