MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hometown high school students went to boot camp on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
This isn't your typical boot camp; the students were accepted into a pre-pharmacy program.
Students are learning all sorts of skills, preparing to become pharmacists at the Medical College of Wisconsin all week.
Today, the students learned how to make their own hand sanitizers.
One student told us boot camp has made him want to pursue something in pharmacy even more.
He tells us he's learned there are more paths to take in the industry than he thought.
"I've always wondered like do I have many options, and this just opened my eyes to all the options I have," said Ali Gladney, senior.
This is the second year the medical college has hosted the program.
