Instead of a Friday afternoon in Milwaukee, it looked and sounded like a Saturday afternoon in Madison at the BMO Harris Pavillion.
Summerfest was decked out in red for "Go Red Day."
As part of the Go Red Day at Summerfest, a Badger's pep rally featured Bucky Badger and a number of coaches and players.
There was also a number of interactive games and photo ops with one of the most famous 'rivalry trophies' in college football.
Paul Bunyan's ax goes to the winner of the Wisconsin-Minnesota football game. The Badgers have held onto it for the past 13 straight seasons. After the pep rally, members of the UW Band and Spirit Squad led fans on a parade through the festival grounds.
"Everybody enjoys the band and the cheerleaders and the whole experience," said Badger's fan Dan Goodmann.
Festgoers wearing Badger's red or those who brought a Sendiks red bag got in free between Noon and 3 p.m.
