MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's No Studios is looking ahead to its planned Social Justice Summit in November.
The movie studio was founded by Milwaukee native John Ridley, screenwriter for the film 12 Years A Slave.
This year's summit is called "Art Activated," and will highlight disenfranchisement, criminal justice reform, and fair housing.
"I think that the social justice component is not just a smart extension of what we're doing, but it's incredibly necessary," said Lisa Ceasar, Chief Operating Officer of No Studios.
The summit will be held Nov. 15-16 at both No Studios and Marquette University.
