Wisconsin tourism hits record growth for fourth straight year
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The children of fallen Officer John Hetland will receive some of the reward money that was offered during the search for his killer.
Businesses donated the money to Racine County Crime Stoppers in an effort to find the person accused of shooting and killing Officer Hetland.
He was killed while trying to stop a robbery at Teezers bar in June.
A suspect was arrested more than a week after the shooting.
Crime Stoppers says there wasn't a recommendation as to who should get the reward, so the board voted to give it to the Band of Blue fund that will benefit the officer's kids.
