Milwaukee Woman Witnesses Felon Burglarizing Home in the Afternoon

A Milwaukee woman witnessed a felon burglarizing her home on North 25th Street around 5:00 PM on Monday.
Officers responded to the 4400 block of N. 25th Street around 5:00 p.m. for a report of a burglary.
When they arrived, the victim, a 41-year-old Milwaukee woman, told officers she saw the male suspect inside her house.
The suspect then fled and the victim was able to locate him a short distance away.
The officers took over from there and arrested the suspect, a 59-year-old Milwaukee man, in the 2600 block of W. Ruby Street.
The suspect is a convicted felon with a criminal history dating back to 1977. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
