Milwaukee police investigate shooting near 60th and Calumet

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58 ) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 12 near 60th and Calumet.

Police report that the shooting occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m.

The victim, a 27-year-old Milwaukee male, sustained serious life-threatening injuries.

Officials say the victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police believe that the circumstances leading up to the shooting appear to be the result of an argument.

Milwaukee police say they a suspect in custody at this time.

According to authorities, charges are expected to be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the coming days.
