MILAWUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new Milwaukee County program aims to get the COVID-19 to the most vulnerable populations.
It focuses on getting the vaccine to people living in certain ZIP codes.
"Milwaukee County is using ZIP codes to target the most vulnerable populations to increase equitable access to vaccine," said County Executive David Crowley.
The Milwaukee County ZIP code program allows those 65 and older, who live in the 53204 or 53206 ZIP codes, to receive the vaccine at the Kosciuszko Community Center.
"We will certainly work our way through all of the ZIP codes in the county, but we are starting with the ZIP codes with the highest vulnerability," said Dr. Ben Weston, director of medical services for the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management.
It is not a walk-in clinic. Appointments must be made. That can be done at CovidMKE.com.
