Milwaukee Art Museum fountains go pink

The water fountains at the Milwaukee Art Museum were dyed pink on Wednesday in preparation for the 17^th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on the Milwaukee Lakefront.  The Komen foundation hopes to raise $1 million for breast cancer research with the event.

This year’s race will kick off at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday September 27^th.  The Komen foundation expects more than 15,000 participants for the 5K race this year.  The Race starts outside the Discovery World and Milwaukee Art Museum campuses on the lakefront.

Same-day registration is available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the North Gate at Summerfest.  If you register on race day the fees are $40 for adults and $35 for children.  Participants who pre-register online will pay $30 for adults and $25 for children.
