Man dies following midnight shooting on Milwaukee’s north side

A 42-year-old man was killed in a shooting around midnight on Milwaukee’s north side Saturday.    According to the Milwaukee Police, the shooting occurred in the area of N 64^th Street and W Silver Spring Drive.    When Officers arrived, they found the man with several very serious gunshot wounds.   EMS responders from the Milwaukee Fire Department performed live saving measures on the victim, but the man died at the scene.   Police say a person of interest in the shooting has been detained and the circumstances that led up to the shooting are still being investigated.
