MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Though Santa may have many covered, others are making their last-minute shopping trips around the Milwaukee area this Christmas Eve.
The National Retail Federation expects consumer spending to reach a new record this holiday season.
When it comes to buying gifts for friends, family and coworkers, the agency estimates people will spend just over $640.
We caught up with a few of those last-minute shoppers at Kohl's in Oak Creek.
"We were one item short of covering all of our granddaughters, so we had to run quick and get the extra one," said shoppers Patrick and Christine.
"We found black shoes and black tights - black shoes and sparkly black tights," said Kristin and Ava Martinez.
