MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Downtown hosted the World’s Largest Coffee Break on Tuesday, Aug. 19 in Catalano Square in the Historic Third Ward.
The event, part of Employee Appreciation Week, ran from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and gave downtown employees a free cup of coffee and a doughnut. The gathering was presented by Healthpeak.
Milwaukee Downtown has organized the coffee break tradition as a way to celebrate and thank those who work in the city’s central business district. Tuesday’s event returned to Catalano Square at Broadway and Menomonee, where workers lined up in the morning for the complimentary refreshments.
The event also featured live entertainment.
