MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- WI Tech Month returns for its fourth year, launching the Midwest Tech Week initiative to unite tech communities in cities like Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit. The event aims to strengthen the Midwest’s tech ecosystem.
Nadiyah Johnson of Milky Way Tech Hub and Benjamin Juarez of Latinos in Tech are leading the initiative, and they joined us on Wednesday, Oct. 9 to discuss their commitment to increasing diversity in tech.
Over three years, Johnson and Juarez have expanded WI Tech Month’s network to over 10,000 followers and connected more than 3,500 community leaders. The initiative focuses on providing tools and resources to Black and Brown communities to participate in tech innovation.
Events will be held throughout the month, offering opportunities for engagement across Wisconsin.
