Whiskey dinner and classic car show among upcoming Racine Zoo events

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Beth Heidorn and McKenna Moats of the Racine Zoo joined us Monday, July 28 to preview some of the zoo's upcoming events.

Whiskers and Whiskey will take place Friday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a five-course dinner paired with five unique whiskeys, along with a presentation on animals with whiskers. The evening also includes hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Tickets are $100 and available through Wednesday, Aug. 13, or until sold out.

The 29th Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show is set for Sunday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 250 vehicles will be on display, with over 75 trophies awarded. Admission is $5 for ages 3 and older, free for members and children 2 and under.

Zoo Debut: Tropical Soiree is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 11 p.m. This black-tie fundraiser will include dinner, open bar, entertainment, dancing and auctions. A virtual silent auction opens Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. and closes Sept. 6 at 9 p.m.
