MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – If you are heading to the polls on Tuesday, April 7, election officials across the state have systems in place to make sure you can cast a ballot.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Voters must be in line by 8 p.m. to vote. You can find out what’s on your ballot, your polling place and confirm your registration status at myvote.wi.gov.

Paulina Gutierrez, the executive director of the Milwaukee Election Commission, says there are seven polling location changes that impact 14 wards across six aldermanic districts and approximately 9,251 registered voters.

In 2025, seven polling locations in the city of Milwaukee ran out of ballots for the spring election due to high voter turnout. While Gutierrez says they will have enough ballots this year, she doesn't expect the same level of turnout.

"We’re back to kind of normal levels," Gutierrez said Monday to CBS 58. "Last year, we saw almost a 50% turnout for the spring election. This year, we’re looking at about 30% overall.”

Gutierrez said nearly 11,000 people in Milwaukee voted early.

Wisconsin DMV customer service centers will stay open until 6 p.m. Monday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 7, to help residents obtain a photo ID ahead of the Tuesday spring election, according to the Department of Transportation.

Besides the Wisconsin State Supreme Court race, CBS 58 is also tracking the results of municipal races across the area. Our team will have full election results through live reports all evening on Tuesday.
