Well we knew the warmth wouldn't last forever. After breaking three records this week, a record high and two record warm lows, a monster cold front rolls in Friday that drops temps about 30 degrees in 12 hours. Before the front arrives high temperatures will reach the upper 60s to around 70 Friday then after the front they drop into the 40s for the weekend.
The front will roll through southeast Wisconsin from late morning through the early afternoon. By 5 PM most of southeast Wisconsin will be in the 40s and 50s and by 9 PM it's 30s and 40s.
Low temperatures Saturday morning bottom out in the 30s with some patchy frost possible depending on how fast the clouds clear. Another round of patchy frost is possible Sunday morning and a widespread freeze and even a killing freeze is likely most mornings next week.
As if the cold front and temperature drop wasn't enough, there's also a chance to see the first snow flurries of the season this weekend. A few light showers could mix with some snowflakes Saturday late evening hours through Sunday. No snow accumulation is expected.
