After a chilly and frost start to this Wednesday, temperatures have returned to 50s to start the afternoon. A gusty west wind is keeping temperatures almost 10 degrees below average for today, and a small rain chance coming from the west looks to be possible this afternoon.
Quiet conditions are expected to return overnight with another night of frosty temperatures likely. Tomorrow is shaping up to be very similar to today, with temps in the 50s, a breezy west wind and a chance for an isolated shower before turning quiet overnight.
This Omega Blocking Pattern we have been experiencing all week (which is what has kept us cooler but primarily dry), will finally exit by the end of this work week as a southeast wind returns on Friday. This will allow for a slight warmup into the 60s, with upper 50s expected lakeside. A small chance for rain is possible Friday afternoon ahead of a clear night, and as 70s return by Saturday, that will bring in another chance for rain.
Mother's Day looks to be quiet but a touch cooler in the 50s ahead of the 60s with a chance for storms by Tuesday.
