MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Have you ever had to eat a four-course meal...without being able to see?
Vision Forward Association says around 100,000 people in Wisconsin eat every day without being able to see what they're eating.
Thursday's fundraising event 'Dining in the Dark' at the Wisconsin Club, aimed at getting people to understand what the experience is like for many people in the state.
"It's an opportunity for our guests to experience four courses under blindfold," said Jaclyn Borchardt, CEO Vision Forward Association. "What makes this even so powerful is it gives individuals an opportunity to truly understand the value of an organization like Vision Forward in our community who help blind or visually impaired and learn to adapt to life like eating a meal."
Nearly 300 people participated in the blindfolded meal tonight.
