Johnson Controls will lay off nearly 200 employees at West Allis location

Johnson Controls will be laying off nearly 200 employees when it indefinitely suspends work on Project Unity at 801 South 60th Street in West Allis.
The company expects to eliminate positions starting September 30 and with all positions by October 14.
Employees elsewhere within the business could ultimately be displaced by affected employees from West Allis location.
All terminated employees will be paid all earned wages and agreed upon fringe benefits upon termination.
None of the effected employees are with a union.
