MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – On June 20, 19-year-old Bre’nee Veasley was shot and killed near 85th and Brown Deer where police responded to a shooting involving teenagers.

“We cannot keep having senseless murders, Bre was not a target, she was simply at a graduation party,” Veasley’s mother Venice Hogans said. “Today will probably be the first day I haven't cried.”

Almost three weeks later, Veasley’s family is still searching for answers to what happened on the night she was killed.

“I don’t want any more bloodshed, I don't want bloodshed at all,” Hogans said. “I want those responsible to be locked away forever.”

Hogans says she has not heard any updates from police regarding her daughter’s murder.

“Bre didn’t deserve this,” Hogans said. “No mom deserves to bury their child.”

Milwaukee Attorney and Crime Stoppers President Michael Hupy is putting up a $10,000 dollar reward for any information that may help the case.

“This has to stop, this cannot go on in this city or country and I need to do something more,” Hupy said. “I think it’s an incentive for someone who knows something to speak up and get the reward.”

Hogans says she is thankful for the help and has seen help from the community throughout a rough couple of weeks.

“Hopefully I’ll get something from this, somebody will come forward, the people who are responsible will come forward,” Hogans said. “I’m begging, I’m pleading for some kind of justice.”
