The scene was peaceful in downtown Milwaukee as hundreds gathered to rally against racism and white supremacy Saturday afternoon.
Hundreds gathered near O'Donnell Park with a simple message: "racism will not be tolerated in our country."
Chris Krasovich of Pewaukee was in attendance Saturday afternoon.
“The message of white supremacy, the message of racism, and hatred, and anti-Semitism has no place here," Krasovich said.
Today's event was exactly one week after the attack in Charlottesville, Virginia where a man plowed his car into a crowd of activists counter-protesting a conservative rally.
An estimated 500 people gathered at today's event in Milwaukee.
