GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A tour bus crash in Green Bay sent 36 people to the hospital Sunday, and the man driving that bus is now charged.
Gehbry Joe Figueroa, of Prospect Heights, Illinois, appeared in court for the first time Tuesday.
He's charged with two counts of knowingly operating a motor vehicle while revoked (causing great bodily harm) and one count of operating a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified.
More than 50 people were on the bus when investigators say it came off an exit ramp, jumped a curb, and crashed into a building.
According to the complaint, Figueroa told police the brakes didn't work, and the emergency brake also failed.
It goes on to say Figueroa's regular driver's license and commercial driver's license were both revoked at the time of the crash.
