20 steers, approximately 800-pounds each, stolen from farm in Wisconsin

EDGAR, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A herd of cows has been stolen from a farm near Edgar, Wisconsin -- according to Premier Livestock and Auctions, LLC. The herd consists of 20 Holsten and Holstein-Angus cross steer, and they weigh about 800 pounds each.

According to a post on social media from Premier Livestock, the steers were stolen from a farm located on Highway 97 between Highway N and Bluberry Road near Edgar, sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 and the morning of Wednesday, July 8.

The stolen cattle have white ear tags with labeled numbers ranging from 100 to 300.

Anyone traveling on Highway 97 or the surrounding roads the night of July 7, and witnessed anything unusual -- such as livestock being loaded, unfamiliar trailers, or suspicious vehicles -- to contact law enforcement.

"Even the smallest piece of information could help," Premiere Livestock said.
