MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Women and Girls in Science event takes place Saturday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at King Community Center.
Brooke Gilley, coordinator of the Women and Girls in Science event, joined us on Monday, Jan. 26 with a preview.
Local women leaders from various STEAM backgrounds will present hands-on activities so young women can connect with potential mentors. The event aims to break the stereotype of who can be successful in science, technology, engineering, art and math fields.
Girls and boys can participate in hands-on activities and learn about female STEAM pioneers and their contributions. The event is recommended for ages 10 and up.
Advanced registration is required. More information is available by clicking here.
