BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- You can now take on family and friends in a competitive new team sport in Brookfield.
WhirlyBall opened it's first Wisconsin location at Brookfield Square Mall Monday afternoon.
The game is described as a mashup of bumper cars and lacrosse. Games last ten minutes and feature two teams of five players.
There are other games to play if you're waiting for your turn in one of the so-called "whirly-bugs."
"We have hyper-bowling, which is an opportunity where you can actually bowl with the bumpers," said Adam Elias, WhirlyBall vice president. "Think of pinball meets bowling. Also, we have a 30 person laser tag arena."
There's also a restaurant and bar with craft beers you may not find anywhere else.
And yes -- you can drink and later play WhirlyBall. The carts only go about 4 mph.
