Local author chats about her new thriller, ’Come and Get Me’
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some UW Milwaukee students are on their way to Taiwan. A farewell ceremony was held Friday at Foxconn's downtown Milwaukee headquarters for 12 students who will be participating in a semester-long international engineering program in Taiwan.
The joint program is organized by Foxconn and UWM.
One student says he jumped at the opportunity when it came up last year.
"I'm so excited for this opportunity and experience. I love to travel and this is the first time I will have been working abroad, so this will be a tremendous opportunity," UWM engineering student Liam Brodie said.
While in Taiwan the UWM students will be learning from Foxconn engineers and professors from a local university that specializes in engineering.
