UPDATE: Two Injured after Plane Crash at Fond du Lac Airport

On Thursday, July 28 at 8:21 AM 911 received multiple reports of a small plane crash at the NW corner of the Fond du Lac County Airport.

Updated information from witnesses indicates the plane had just taken off from the Fond du Lac County Airport when it experienced a mechanical issue and was attempting to return to the airport when it crashed.

The pilot of the small single engine plane, David D Spencer 78-years-old from Santa Fe, New Mexico was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with critical injuries. Passenger, Rafael J Chaves 71-years-old also of Santa Fe was also transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

FAA is investigating the crash.
