Wednesday stays dry with a mix of sun and clouds after a cold start in our western counties. The clouds will start to increase Wednesday night ahead of a chance for snow Thursday morning. Some of the snow could fall during the Thursday morning commute making roads a bit slippery and snow covered in spots. Most of the snow Thursday wraps up around noon but could linger a bit into the afternoon.
Snow overall looks light Thursday morning and should be fairly fluffy. A few moderate bursts of snow will be possible in the mid-morning hours of Thursday. Overall, northern counties have the better chances to see more snow.
Thursday afternoon and evening looks mostly dry but a second round of snow will be possible as we head into Friday morning. This could also make roads a bit tricky for the Friday morning commute. That second round of snow should wrap up during the morning hours of Friday leading to dry conditions for the rest of the weekend. The Friday morning snow will be a little wetter and could be a decent packing snow, but not super heavy.
The second round of snow Friday morning could lead to another half or full inch of snow. The combination of the Thursday morning and Friday morning rounds of snow could push snow totals in most areas between 1-2" with highest totals in northern counties and lesser totals in some southwest counties.
