NORTH PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) Significant storms made an impact in Waukesha County on Tuesday as thousands of homes were left without power.
Brandan Conway, a spokesperson for We Energies, said they were prepared to respond quickly to outages.
“We brought in extra crews from across the state, so we are throwing everything we have at it,” Conway said.
The Pewaukee School District was closed on April 14 due to a campuswide power outage.
In North Prairie, a massive tree fell on Kathleen Manuele’s driveway and her husband’s vehicle.
“We opened up the garage door, and all we could see was a tree on my husband’s truck. Which he just paid off last month. How ironic is that,” Manuele said. “We’re all lucky, all the neighbors, we all survived it, but we all have damage, it’s going to be something to get us back to good.”
