MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A traffic nightmare on I-43 as part of it had to be shut down because of a shooting investigation.
It happened on the freeway between Silver Spring and North Avenue.
Around 3:30 Friday afternoon, someone told police they had been shot at on the interstate.
That person was not injured. Sheriff’s deputies diverted traffic off the highway to look for evidence. The road was re-opened just after 5:00 p.m.
This is the third shooting on the freeway in two months. Back in September, someone fired shots on I-43 near Walnut and later that week there was another shooting on I-43 near Capitol and Hampton. The investigation is ongoing.
