Shanahan top candidate for Niners job

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Kyle Shanahan has become the No. 1 candidate to become the San Francisco 49ers' head coach now that one-time Raiders coach Tom Cable has dropped out of consideration. Shanahan is the Falcons' offensive coordinator and can't be hired by the Niners until Atlanta's postseason is over. Cable's agent tweeted today that his client is committed to staying with the Seahawks, where he is the offensive line coach.
