WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Local nonprofit Revitalize Milwaukee is a group that provides free home repairs to some of the state's most vulnerable residents.
They help homeowners stay safe, offering their services to low-income seniors, veterans and people who live with disabilities.
Tuesday, the group completed a project for a homeowner in Waukesha County. We spoke with the nonprofit's CEO, who believes their work helps build stronger communities.
"Home is the safe spot for all of us, and we believe everyone deserves a place to call home -- a safe spot where they can live, they are with their neighbors, in many cases where they raised their family and they want to stay," CEO Melanie Roach said.
Revitalize Milwaukee repairs over 500 homes throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha County throughout the year.
