Brewers preview homestand, new fan plaza ahead of Cubs series
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo has a packed calendar as the zoo heads into February, peeking into springtime.
Racine Zoo's Executive Director, Beth Heidorn, and Conservation Education Specialist, Cassie Sanchez, joined us on Monday, Jan. 29 to offer a preview.
The "Animal Amoré" event, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., aims to deliver a romantic experience at the zoo. The evening includes champagne, a catered dinner and a special presentation about wild animal courtship behaviors. This adult-only event is priced at $120 per couple or $70 for an individual.
For younger zoo fans, the zoo is organizing Spring Break and Summer Camps. The Spring Break Camp, from April 1-4, offers interactive animal encounters and educational activities for children in grades K-7. The Summer Camp, beginning June 17, provides a similar experience for ages 3 to kids in 7th grade.
Both camps offer early registration discounts through Feb. 15.
More information can be found by visiting the Racine Zoo online.
