WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Greater Milwaukee Fire and Police Pipes and Drums performed "Amazing Grace" overnight in West Allis as part of National Police Week, honoring officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The midnight performance is a tradition held once each year during Police Week, which lasts through Saturday, May 16.
"Each member who has died in the line of duty, it's a different story, different families have been impacted, different situations," said West Allis Police Chief Patrick Mitchell. "So, we do the best we can to remember each and every one that's passed during our career."
