DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three people are seriously injured after a single car crashed into a tree along Oakwood Drive in Delafield. 

According to police, emergency responders reported a car into a tree around 4 p.m. Friday, May 29.

Responders found four passengers outside the car, with the car wrapped against the tree with the engine on fire along with the passenger compartments. 

The passengers were helped out of the car by bystanders and three of the four had serious injuries, while one only had minor injuries.

All four were transported to a nearby hospital.

No other vehicles or bystanders were involved.

The incident is under investigation.
