Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash near 16th and Canal Streets; driver arrested

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 21-year-old motorcyclist is seriously hurt following a crash that happened near 16th and Canal Streets in Milwaukee early Friday, June 25. 

Police say it happened around 4 a.m., when the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle that was making a turn. 

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. His 21-year-old male passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was arrested.

Police say criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
