MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee airport is seeing a bit more traffic after a huge decrease due to stay at home orders and other shutdowns.
Now, 2,400 passengers a day are coming through -- that's still down from the normal 12,000 people a day before the pandemic.
Airport staff are doing more deep cleaning, and they've installed more hand sanitizers and touchless features in bathrooms.
Some of the restaurants are reopening, along with the SuperSaver parking lot.
While face masks are not required, the airport director urges passengers to wear them.
"They think that the TSA checkpoint is the place to start wearing a mask. Really it starts when you enter the facility," said Director Brian Draznik.
Travelers are asked not to crowd around the baggage claim area, and anyone who is sick is asked not to fly.
