MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hometown kids got a special visit from an even more special visitor Sunday, March 29!
The Easter Bunny made an early appearance at Cooper Park in Milwaukee, meeting kids and their families!
They hunted for eggs, played games and ate good food.
The Easter egg hunt was hosted by Milwaukee Police District 7.
Officers told CBS 58 the events help young people see what officers do
"It builds trust, it builds connection. It also builds memories. Coming out here and join with the police officers I think that's one step in making people love the police." said Tiara Sheets-Walker, community partnership unit with MPD.
The Easter egg hunt went from 11 a.m. Sunday morning to 3 p.m.
