SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A local associate principal has been named the 2026 National High School Assistant Principal of the Year.
Shorewood High School Associate Principal Amanda Jamerson received the honor by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) at an annual National Education Leadership Awards event on Friday, April 17.
She was one of three finalists chosen.

"This recognition is deeply meaningful to me because it reflects the collective equity work happening every day at Shorewood High School," said Jamerson in a press release.
