MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Ald. Andrea Pratt partnered with the Jay Academy Saturday, June 27 to host the fifth annual Summer Bike Giveaway at Black Market near 19th and Hampton.
The event, aimed primarily at elementary school-age children, drew a large turnout, with the line for bikes at one point stretching around the block.
"The best part is the community, man. People here, everybody's eating, kids in the bounce houses, we got haircuts going on right there so yeah, it's beautiful, it's beautiful," said Shake James, owner of Jay Academy.
