MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- This holiday season, a number of worthy organizations will be asking for your money.
I found a local charity will happily take your donations but is just as eager to have you hire them for a job.
At their Wauwatosa office, Kelmann Restoration is celebrating 45 years in business. There's drinks, music, and food provided by Lilyworks Catering.
"The most interesting thing is outside. Our chef is preparing pizzas on a brick oven, a wood fired pizza oven," said Larry Millard, Hospitality Manager with Easterseals.
Larry Millard is the Hospitality Manager at Easterseals. He says the menu isn't the only thing that makes them special.
"We train individuals with disabilities in food service."
TJ is one of their success stories. He was trained in their program for years and now has a job at Chili's. In fact, he's so in demand that he has two jobs.
Part of Lilyworks program includes job training.
Lilyworks Catering is also selling freshly baked pumpkin and apple pies. They can be picked up three days before Thanksgiving and the money will go to help people with disabilities get jobs in the community.
