WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kikkoman Foods in Walworth County is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a $600,000 gift to area high schools.
Each school will receive $100,000 to create an endowment that will provide scholarships for graduating seniors.
The anniversary event took place in Fontana last Friday, attracting business leaders from Japan and Governor Scott Walker.
Kikkoman's CEO says they want to help students in any way that they can.
"We will always be grateful for our partnership with the state of Wisconsin and the many wonderful friendships we have developed here. We are delighted to be able to support deserving students in the local community as they pursue dreams of higher education," said Yuzaburo Mogi, Kikkoman Corp. & Kikkoman Foods Inc.
Walker says Kikkoman's commitment to Wisconsin has helped its local community and the state for decades.
