Kenosha PD Seize 17 Dogs from Vehicle

Kenosha Police confirm to CBS 58 that they confiscated 17 dogs Saturday from a vehicle where homeless people were living.

Kenosha PD were investigating a green Pontiac sedan after it was reported as suspicious. As officers arrived, they heard eight or nine dogs barking inside and when they spoke to someone in the vehicle the officers smelled a strong stench odor from the car.

According to police, some of the dogs were sick and others were newborn puppies. A man and woman in the vehicle told police they were homeless and were living from house to house with friends.

Police took the dogs to an animal shelter.

No arrests were made in the incident.
