WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jurassic Journey, billed as the Midwest's largest outdoor dinosaur display, opens at the Waukesha County Expo Center's Nature Grove on Friday, May 8 and runs through Memorial Day, May 25.
The walk-through experience features more than 60 life-size animatronic dinosaurs, including a T-Rex stretching more than 40 feet long. Activities include fossil digs, a kids driving course, a daily Dino Parade, live stage shows and an interactive Dino Hunt. The event is outdoors, not inside the Expo Center.
Spokesperson Shirley Walczak joined us on Thursday, April 30 to preview the experience.
A special evening event, Dinos After Dark, takes place May 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. Kids get in free every Wednesday with a paid adult.
Hours vary by day and are available Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are available by clicking here or visiting any Festival Foods location.
