CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Job cuts are coming to Harlley-Davidson, as the iconic Milwaukee company struggles with slumping sales.
A company spokesperson confirmed the workforce cuts Tuesday, saying in part, "Some employees have been notified yesterday of a reduction in force that is impacting our global workforce."
Global retail motorcycle sales were down 12% in 2025, according to the company, who reported an operating loss of $29 million in 2025 compared to an operating income of $278 million the year prior.
In a February news release, President and CEO Artie Starrs said in part, "As we close out a challenging year for the Company, we are taking deliberate actions to stabilize the business, restore dealer confidence, and align wholesale activity with retail demand."
It's not yet clear how many people will lose their jobs or where those cuts will be made.
