MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Mariachi Herencia de México joined us Wednesday, April 15 ahead of the group’s Milwaukee performance at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
The Chicago-based ensemble is scheduled to perform Thursday, April 16. The group has earned two Latin Grammy nominations and has built a national following with a style that blends traditional mariachi music with a more contemporary sound.
The 14-member group, made up of musicians ages 18 to 32, traces its musical roots to the mariachi traditions of Guadalajara and Mexico City.
