MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's the fourth day of 'Victory Over Violence' week and the 'Youth Against Violence' walk kicked off its final day.
Dozens of young people gathered holding signs and speaking against gun violence, as they marched through Milwaukee's downtown.
The walk ended at Victory of Violence Park where organizers told their personal stories surrounding gun violence.
It wraps up a week full of anti-violence events, that one student hopes makes a lasting impact on his peers.
"Really I am just hoping for people to come together as a community and talk things out, sometimes we do have confirmation, and you don't have to fight about it, you just talk it out or have a friendly competition, we play basketball, we play football things of that nature so we just have friendly competition and play it out," said Travonne Cannon.
This year, the Milwaukee Common Council officially designated the last week of April as 'Youth Victory Over Violence Week.'
